But apparently, someone appears to have gotten their hands on it in advance, and while most executives at Samsung hates it, a Redditor has snapped it and posted the box online. Assuming that the box is real and accurate, it reveals almost all key details about the phone.

Among the interesting details listed on the box are the display size and resolution, camera specifications, and Knox authentication, which is nothing new, in particular.
What’s new?
It seems that the improvement on Galaxy S9 over the Galaxy S8 is focused in the camera. The leak suggests the phone will have a 12MP (F1.5/F2.4) lens with “Super Speed” and optical image stabilization. There’s also this “Super Slow-mo” which we might assume capabilities like 240fps video recording, a variable aperture of F1.5/F2.4 (a dual rear camera maybe?) and an 8MP front-facing camera.
Also in specs are 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, stereo speakers (finally), AKG earphones, IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, an iris scanner, and wireless charging.
However, all we get to see for now is the retail box’s back, which could be due to the fact that Samsung is doing a great job to keep the S9’s actual photos hidden. Judging by the gloves on the photo-taker’s hand, it seems that he/she works in a plant where the Galaxy S9 is produced.
Availability
Like what we’ve said earlier, we already confirmed that the Galaxy S9 will be launching at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona this February.
In line to that, there will be more rumors to come out soon so stay tuned here at STS Despatch!
